a very good lens
Strengths: nice, sharp lens
Weakness: little heavy/bulky
excellent glass. i use it on my nikon cp8800 (with the help of an adapter ring) and its combination with the 10x lens can create amazing images as well as really narrow down the dof. i haven't used a true macro lens, but this makes a nice alternative with my setup for now. just remember when using the lens that your camera needs some zoom and you lose focusing to infinity.

This lens does exactly what Canon...
This lens does exactly what Canon says it does -- it allows closer focusing than without the lens. It is easy to use, and requires no special settings on the camera.
