Description

The Maxxum 7D is the premiere digital SLR camera from Konica Minolta. Drawing on the tradition of technical expertise that gave birth to the Maxxum 7000-the world's first body-integral autofocus SLR, the RD-175-one of the world's first consumer-use digital SLRs, and the world's first washless photofinishing system-the NPS-1 Mini Lab, the Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D represents a culmination of the optical and photo-imaging expertise of two of the most respected names in photography. The 7D also inherits the intuitive operating ease of the award-winning 35mm Maxxum 7 AF SLR, and maintains full compatibility with the Maxxum system of lenses and accessories.

7D /w/ kit lens

Strengths: A/S; fastest digital camera I used; image second to none with the 2.5" view

Weakness: with the $200 rebate--NONE

I've only had this camera for a few day now but with each day I'm loving it more. Using it with the SanDisk 1G Extreme III CF card, it's by far the fastest digital camera I've used. The KM 28-100 kit lens is a very nice addition. Of course it's not in the same class as your APO's--but a nice light 'carry around' lens for a lot less money. All of the photos taken with this lens have been way above...

Maxxum 7D SLR Camera Kit w/2.8-100 Lens

Strengths: Very nice camera, lens are interchangable with previous Minolta cameras

Weakness: Lower pixils than many comprable cameras

The 2.5 inch color monitor is a nice feature to review pictures that were recently taken. The Anti-Shake system is a nice plus which is not offered in other cameras. The 6.1 million pixel is lower than many similar priced cameras, but doesn't seem to be too much of a weakness unless you are printing very large formats.

Konica Minolta MAXXUM 7D SLR

The Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D is arguably one of the most eagerly-awaited digital cameras announced in the last year or so. Minolta was one of the leading manufacturers of film-based SLRs back in the heyday of that format, in the early- and middle-1970s. As a result, there are literally millions of existing Minolta film SLR owners who have been waiting for a digital model to use their extensive...

DCRP Review: Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D

All things considered, the Maxxum 7D gets my enthusiastic recommendation. It was a real joy to use, and I was satisfied with its photo quality after increasing the sharpness a notch. If you've got a collection of Maxxum lenses laying around, you probably already have a Maxxum 7D. If you're new to D-SLRs the decision is more difficult, as the competition is fierce in this area. There are cameras...

Up close and personal: Konica Minolta Dynax 7D hands-on first looks

Konica Minolta's new DSLR us the first to integrate an anti-shake system into the camera body. This means any lens fitted will benefit from anti-shake. We took the 7D to a major sports event to find out just how well this camera worked.
