SX1 is good for semi-pro and standard useStrengths: HD Video - RAW stills in a compact form, ease of use, great lens, pretty good IS. Weakness: Does not make pro type images at ISO 200 or greater. I have shot tens of 1000s of stills and video over 40 years, in all formats of film and video as well as digital for the past 8 years, I spent 30 years in broadcast TV. Getting my mind wrapped around shooting with this type of camera form has been the biggest hurdle for me. I had to put my SLR and video cameras away for the past 8 months so that I could get my head and body retrained to use this...

Very Good Product HD 1080P is AmazingStrengths: Full HD Recording, Amazing Picture Quality Weakness: Non Yet Overall this is a an amazing camera, no regrets. Just set it to auto and it does everything else. Power Usage was not bal neither but i recomend using NIMH Rechargable Batteries

Strengths: great pictures, amazing video, awesome zoom, the screen
Weakness: battery life, auto focusing, feels small
love the camera, i've had it for about 2 months and i plan on bringing it on spring break, only hope the batteries don't run out. you can get 2-3 hours of use out of 1 set of rechargeable, so it's always good to keep a spare. the manual is a must or else you will get completely lost. HD video great and also great iso range with decent noise even at iso 1600
