Best compactStrengths: Low light performance Foto quality Manual control (ring) Great pocket size Weakness: Small for big hands No HD film quality (if you care) I was very happy to be one of the first in the Netherlands to buy this camera. Due to the positive comments on forums. Testing it made me very happy! The quality, especially low light performance, is great. And the manual controls are very fast and easy to use. Finally i have a camera that i can carry around always and have the quality and control i like. Ofcourse a DSLR has better quality...

Canon PowerShot S90
THE GOOD: Excellent control system for manual, semimanual shooting; fantastic wide-angle f2 lens; very good low-light photo quality. THE BAD: Performance is merely average; no HD movie mode or optical zoom while recording; a couple design miscues. THE BOTTOM LINE: As long as youre not expecting dSLR speed in a tiny body, the Canon PowerShot S90 is an excellent compact camera for advanced amateurs. Top

Canon PowerShot S90
The PowerShot S90 is a mid-range digital camera and is one of Canons higher-end models of point-and-shoot compact cameras. DCRP Review: Canon PowerShot S90
When Canon announced the PowerShot S90, I was pretty excited. Manual controls and a fast lens in an ultra-compact body? Yes, please! My enthusiasm waned quickly once my review unit arrived. Not because of the picture quality or feature set, but because the usability and ergonomics are so poor. It's like Canon designed the camera without thinking that people's hands would actually be touching... Top

Camera Labs – Canon PowerShot S90 review
Canon’s PowerShot S90 is a compact which will delight enthusiasts. It ticks most of the boxes demanding photographers look for in a top-end compact, including wide angle coverage, RAW file support, full manual control and a large detailed screen, along with putting some effort into decent low light performance with a sensible resolution and bright f2.0 focal ratio. The icing on the cake is a... Top

Canon PowerShot S90 Review
Packing a 10-megapixel sensor into a world of 12-megapixel cameras may turn out to be a mark of both courage and wisdom for the Canon S90, a move that should deliver better image quality in low light. The Canon S90's lens is also a full stop faster than the usual point & shoot camera, rated at f/2.0 at wide-angle, another step toward greater light sensitivity. And the Canon S90 really is... Top

Canon PowerShot S90 Review
The new Canon PowerShot S90 compact camera offers a lot of DSLR functionality in a pocketable format. Support for the RAW format, full range of manual shooting modes, and a fast f/2.0 lens should grab any keen photographer's attention, especially as the Canon S90 can easily slip inside a shirt pocket. This seemingly winning combination of size and features doesn't come cheap though - £449.00 /... Top

The best point and shoot camera I've ever owned
Strengths: Low light capability with an f/2.0 lens, full manual controls, well built, amazing photos, great screen, HDMI output
Weakness: No HD video mode, the strap
The Canon S90 is finest point and shoot I've ever owned. I've shot with the Panasonic DMC-FX50 and the Canon SD790IS prior to this camera. When my wife and I went to Europe in November 2009 she kept taking amazing photos with her Canon 5D Mark II and my photos from the Canon SD790IS couldn't approach them. She explained that I had no manual controls. I was fed up and found the Panasonic DMC-LX3...
