Camera broke after less than 3 month

Strengths: OK picture, OK video. Impressive Battery life, which lasts about 2 days taking lots of pics and videos. Nice looking design. Red color makes it easy to find lost camera in water.

Weakness: Camera broke. Without any apparent reason the part that holds the shutter release and power button became loose and fell off. It is no longer waterproof.

I lost the camera in the surf. It took me one and a half hours to find it under 7 ft of water. There was not even a scratch on the screen or casing. After less than 3 month the part on top that holds the shutter release and power button became loose with normal handling. Camera didn't fall and was not in the water that day. It happened at home looking at pictures. Hope the warranty covers...

My camera broke in the first day

Strengths: I wouldnt know much about strengths since the one I bought broke that day

Weakness: Poor quality, breaks easily

I bought this camera on a family vacation and it broke that very day. The camera never dropped or experienced any falls. I did put it in water (about 5 inches). Later that day it no longer took pictures, the video still works. DONT BUY THIS CAMERA

Casio Exilim EX-G1 (red)

THE GOOD: Rugged construction; low shutter lag. THE BAD: Photo quality is merely OK; long shot-to-shot times; slightly over-designed. THE BOTTOM LINE: The Casio Exilim EX-G1 is a good snapshot camera built to take a beating, but its photos and shooting features are nothing special.

Casio EX-G1 Review

The EX-G1 is the first all-action water, dust, shock and freeze -proof camera from Casio, branded with the company's famous G-Shock moniker. This is also the slimmest tough camera in the world, and also beautifully styled and made. The EXG1 is up against some tough competition though, with Olympus very well-established, Panasonic making a recent splash, and Pentax offering some worthy budget...
